2014 St. Andrew Kim Scholarship Application Guidelines: 2014년도 본당 장학금 안내

St. Andrew Kim Scholarship is dedicated to developing leadership and the sprit of service among Youths and Young Adults in the Oakland Bay area. By offering a range of scholarships, ministry opportunities, leadership training and networking, St. Andrew Kim Korean Pastoral Center strives to inspire youth and young adults to actively participate in various ministries and community activities. Please read carefully and complete the application as thoroughly as possible. Incomplete application will be denied of scholarship review.

Qualification:

• Full time students of High School, or College in the Oakland Bay area, CA.
• Full time students of College who attended St. Andrew Kim Korean Pastoral Center

Application checklist:

• 2014 St. Andrew Kim Scholarship Application 
• Most recent school transcript (including total GPA)
• Recent passport-type photo suitable for publication
• Essay (must be, including but not limited to, reasons for applying scholarship and future career plans and interest)
• Two (2) letters of recommendation: One recommendation letter should be made by the Group leader of your district (Goo-Yeok-Jang).
• Confirmation letters of your (church or non-church related) voluntary service (Recent 5 years): A separate letter has to be submitted for each voluntary service.
• Latest copy of parent’s tax form (IRS 1040): it is not required but if you wish to be considered for financial reasons as well.

Class of Awards:

• College School Award: $2,000.00
  

  High School Award: $1,000.00 (if you get an admission letter from a college by the deadline (July. 27, 2014), the scholarship shall be $2,000.00)
